I am having a horrible COPD Flare and taking antibiotics, prednisone, and using my inhaler with little relief. I would like to know others opinions what might be better to use for congestion: Humidifier or Vaporizer? Any suggestions for relief will greatly be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Thank you Kaismama! Ive used the nebulizer. I see my doctor tomorrow. I am not sure if I need to see a pulmonary dr or what as my oxygen is down to 87. I will take yours and masso's suggestion with the cool mist.

I will let my doctor know about the oxygen. Thank you for your kind words!
A humidifier ( it should be a cool mist humidifier), as in winter time the heaters are used non stop this makes the air dry and a humidifier keeps the air moist.
Keep the filter of the humidifier clean changethe filters often and also change the water on a daily basis.
:)
Do I need to be real close to the humidifier or can it be put in any area of the room?
Put it in your room, close to you.:-)
Thank you!
You are welcome.
