Has anyone been prescribed compounded tirzepatide/pyridoxine? I was on Mounjaro for almost 3 years. I lost my job and therefore lost my insurance. My insurance had been paying for the Mounjaro, but without insurance, who can afford over $1300 a month? I can’t! As an alternative, my doctorhas prescribed compounded tirzepatide/pyridoxine from a pharmacy. It’s still kind of expensive but affordable. On the Mounjaro I was on the therapeutic dose of 15mg per week. During this almost 3years I’ve lost from 255 lbs to 165 lbs. I took my last dose on June 30th and since then I’ve gained almost 25 lbs. I know, I have a problem. My question is, has anyone tried the compounded tirzepatide? I’m waiting to get mine from the pharmacy. I’m excited to get started again. I’m praying that I have the same results as I did on the Mounjaro. I also hope that one day the makers of Mounjaro will make it affordable for everyone and the insurance companies will quit requiring a pre-approval and keep their nose out of my doctor and my business. I do have insurance now but they will not cover my prescription for Mounjaro. My doctor did send in a pre-authorization but it was denied. That’s why I’m going to try this prescription for compound tirzepatide. Has anyone tried this? If so, how was it?

Hi, I was only on the compounded tirzepatide. Never mounjaro. And it is a miracle drug for me.i think you'll do just fine. Best of luck to you.
May I ask if you got your tirzepatide from a compound pharmacy? The mounjaro was a miracle for me
I was in the same situation. I have been on tirzepatide for over a year now with compounded pharmacies. Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide. We don't have any compounding pharmacies in my area so I have had to go through companies online that use various different pharmacies. I have never had any trouble with any of the pharmacy's compounding of the medication, although some people in the chat rooms have had problems with one particular pharmacy used. I have not had problems with that pharmacy, but the company chose to switch pharmacies. There are lots of companies that you can go to online and they will contract with compounding pharmacies. In fact, one came through an ad on this site when I first signed in.The only thing I don't like is, after your initial zoom contact, you can't call anybody. You have to email them and then they send the email to the appropriate person which always takes at least 2 days. I have used two different companies and gotten my med from 3 different pharmacies. They all charge around $400/month give or take.
Do you mind if I ask what state you’re in. I’m in Texas. Fortunately my doctor referred this compounding pharmacy in the Austin area. It’s still quite a ways from where I live, but they’re going to ship it to me. I’m still waiting on my first three months to get started.
