My clitoris started hurting right when i started my period which was yesterday (aug 23). its a sort of sharp pain whenever I wipe and move in a certain way. It feels hard too. I tried looking at it in the shower today and the tip looks sorta white? I have a feelings its swollen too. I am sorta desperate for answers, if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated!!! If anything needs to be clarified let me know. Plus, I am sexually active but no STDs bc my partner and i were both virgins when we met. Also, it has been a week or so since i had sex so no way this swollen clitoris was from the sex. This has never happened to me before during my periods. It's super annoying!!! Help??

Here's an update for everybody! Well, the pain in my clitoris has luckily gone down. No more pain when wiping or touching so good thing!! The same day i noticed my clitoris hurting is the same day that i had a major itch attack around my vagina/anus (how embarrassing) after the itch attack happened, i went to take a shower and check that area and now there are little tiny bumps and yesterday those bumps actually hurt but now they dont. Should i worry about those bumps or just leave them alone? They seem to be doing fine healing, but i guess you can never be too careful! These past couple of days i've just been using vagisil (around/on my clitoris and on the bumps) until i can get to a doctors on Monday.

I have had this too. It was a long time ago when I was a little girl. I got a large white cyst in the skin folds next to my clitoris and I remember it was very painful. It is from debris collecting in the skin folds (the clitoris has a little hood just like a mans uncircumcised penis) and getting infected. You can try taking warm hip bath soaks several ties a day to try to clear out the area. Use as warm a water as you can without burning yourself-you can even add a little epsom salts if you want. Swish the water around the area and gently retract the clitoral hood to help clear out this debris. If this doesnt help or it seems to be getting worse you may want to visit your gynecologist.
Great answer Dzoo, & also when you get out of the tub, use a hair
dryer on cool setting to dry that area, or a fan. Do not rub with a towel. When you have to urinate, make sure the area stays clean & dry. Pat youself after urinating instead of wiping. Just a couple more hints... Mary
Mary, that is great advice for any female that has any infection in their vaginal area. Using a blow-dryer on cool is a very smart thing to do, better to dry off that way during this time period for the questioner.
See a Dr. Possible infection or,
could it may be a yeast infection?
Possibly, does it burn when you urinate? If not, probably not. I would really have it checked out if it persists another 24 hours.
no it doesnt burn. hm, i have some monistat cream from the last time i had an yeast infection. should i just use that for now, see if it helps any?
Can't hurt, but I still say check it out. I hear you on the virgin thing, but it's a tough world out there, keep your mind open. Anything is possible.
Sorry Femal3, but I have to say this, you do NOT have a yeast infection, but from what you describe is a cyst, as others have told you. If you had a yeast infection, you would have a white thick discharge that itches and burns. It does not settle into one spot, but covers your entire inner vaginal area. You can wait and soak with hot water, and see if that takes care of the problem. It will get form a head, and eventually will start oozing out the infection. If it gets any worse, or more painful, a trip to the gynecologist is in order, as it can get very infected. Please refrain from intercourse at this time, so you do not add more irritation.
@ MISTER Balbanes, I have quoted from your own bio: "I do not pretend to be an authority and will not give advice unless I have lived through it and/or I am sure I can help" You obviously no nothing about female health problems, so perhaps you can restrain yourself from giving BAD advice!!

Excuse me recovered whatever you are, what the flippin whatever is wrong with:
