Clindamycin - Can this medication be taken while taken amoxicillin?

Clindamycin can be taken with Amoxicillin if you are SURE your physician wants you to take them together. Clindamycin is a Lincomycin derivative and Amoxicillin is a Penicillin derivative and they work totally different. It is definitely recommended that you take a probiotic during and a few days after taking these medications together so that you can replenish the "good" bacteria in your gut that will be destroyed by the antibiotics.
