Clindamycin - How long does it take for this drug to start working? I have been on it for 24 hours?

taking clindamycin for cellulites for 12 hours and still running high temperature
I have been on it for 7days but my infections are getting worse
I agree with techno, its takes a few days. I f no relief you may want to call you dentist or doctor that prescribed & let them know it doesn't seem to be helping yet (after about 3 days) Hope this helps..

The drug starts work right away within about 30 min - 1 hour of you taking it. This is different from how quickly you'll notice it working. Typically you should see a noticable improvement within 2 - 3 days, but this depends on what you are taking it for.
I am assuming that it is somthing like a tooth abcess based on the pain and the med, but I am just guessing.
Give it a few days. Take it as prescribed and make sure to take all of it to prevent resistance.
