I have been on amlodipine for a few weeks at 5mgs. A lot of the side effects wore off, but abdominal pains, gum swelling did not. Also I noticed a worsening of my anxiety and depression. In order to gain a thinking space and reduce the impact of side effects, I reduced my own dose to 2.5mg. I can relate to a lot of what has been described in the taking of amlodipine, and I now want to tread more carefully. I think some doctors are a bit gung ho with drugs. Drug interaction, and side effects seem to be a minefield. Thanks for any comments.
Is citalopram safe to take with amlodipine, or might their effects conflict in some way?

My mum takes both together (she’s also a nurse) so I don’t believe there are any issues taking both. :)
