I take a Ultra Flora probiotic pill daily. I just started Cipro last night (saw Dr. 3 days ago... diagnosed with bronchitis and was told to fill script if 'things went south.') Developed fever last night and hit the 24 hr. pharmacy. Would like to continue taking probiotic (doesn't contain milk)

Taking a probiotic daily is a great idea.
Eating probiotic foods are healthy, daily, also.
( sauerkraut, buttermilk, etc, )

You can take the probiotic with the Cipro. The Cipro will continue to kill off the probiotic bacteria until you are done with it. Cipro kills the good bacteria as well as the bad. You need that normal flora, or good bacteria, to re-establish normal gut health, so be faithful about taking the probiotic, especially after you finish the Cipro. Think about increasing the dose of the probiotic when the Cipro is gone. You could take it 2 x day for about a week or 2 to help you repopulate your gut.

I wouldn't. The Cipro is just going to kill the probiotic bacteria. I hope you're feeling better by now.

Fever has broke but still feeling lousy. Took 1st Cipro last Fri. (36 hours ago). Feeling minimally better but not as well as I would hope I would. I have heard from others locally with this 'crud' and it seems to linger quite awhile. Fingers crossed it passes soon. It's exhausting!

You should take a probiotic when you take an antibiotic.
