I tend to have a few puffs of a cigarette through out the day. I just started 25mg of sertraline 4 days ago? I know smoking is bad in general and I am working on quitting. I am wondering if this bad habit may affect my treatment negatively?
Does cigarette smoking affect how sertraline 25mg is metabolized?

Hi, Pam!
This is the Interaction Report on sertraline and nicotine:

If you do further research though some sites say that smoking can decrease the efficacy of antidepressants. A good reason to stop.
Good for you for trying to quit!
