I’m looking for help, I have been on sertraline in the past and it has helped greatly for anxiety and panic attacks, I tried to go on it again 2 weeks ago but was in a bad place to start with. I took first dose 50mg 2nd dose 24mg 3rd dose 12.5 4th dose 25mg and the side effects were so bad I never had anything like it the first time so I stopped but now I’m scared that it was because I kept changing the dose over the 4 days?? I want to try again but start on a lower dose just to try help with side effects, has anyone started a week on 6.25 then a week 12.5 then so on until 50mg? Which was my previous helpful dose a year ago.
Sertraline 6.25mg help please desperate?

I was on Sertraline for panic and anxiety Started slow at 12.5 half of 25 then up to 25 Then 37.5 to 50 which started to help with panic attacks Not the Doctor but cannot change doses every night Got to give each dose some time before switching I did have side effects but not real bad some nausea diarrhea etc I would have stayed on it but it made me dizzy and also had trouble with sleeping/ insomnia Anxiety is still there and will have to try another ssri Tried doing on my own but can’t yet Good luck and speak with your provider Sure he/she will tell you you can’t switch like that Probably just made symptoms worse
