As Rajive points out, the alcohol may intensify any side effects, but as long as you are tolerating the antibiotic an alcoholic beverage is not going to decrease the antibiotics efficacy.

It is usually not recomended to drink alcohol while taking antibiotics, it could enhance the process of the side effects adversely.
