Can cefprozil be used for an absessed tooth?

It may help with the abscess although it is not a drug of choice. There are other antibiotics which are used more often.
Self diagnosis is not recommended, often the abscess needs to be drained before antibiotics are effective - you should see a dentist. Please see link below.
