I suggest you see a Dentist before self medicating.
The antibiotics used for tooth infections that your Dentist may prescribe belong to the penicillin's drug class such as penicillin and amoxicillin.
Although ampicillin belongs to the drug class of aminopenicillin, the antibiotics more commonly used are the ones I mentioned.
