Hi, there is a risk of serotonin syndrome if you take Fluoxetine and Tramadol together. It is a very serious condition, but it isn't guaranteed to affect you. I take a combination of medications and some of those come up with the red flag warnings, but i haven't suffered the suggested side effects. It really can vary from person to person. I would take your doctors advice, but it won't do any harm to familiarise yourself with possible side effects, just in case. Check out this link;

My doctor said yes also, I did have dizziness for a while but not anymore. I have only been on this for 4 mo.
sorry wrong post - disregard my answer
Fluoxetine interacts with Tramadol. I was told that I couldnt' take them together, because there is a risk of seizures. I would call your pharmasist and your Doctor and have them look into it. My doctor at first was going to give me the tramadol, but I mentioned a different doctor (a PA actually, and they are sometimes better because thier education is more recent and they are current on the latest info) told me there was too high a risk for it to be worth it. Seriously, call your doc.
