No bactroban is not used to treat fever blisters (cold sores)
Bactroban is an antibiotic cream used to treat a bacterial infection.
Fever blisters (cold sores) are a type of virus and if left untreated they usually go away in 1 to 2 weeks. However there are antiviral creams you can purchase from your pharmacy that may speed up recovery and ease the pain. Talk to your pharmacist.
