I've been taking 50mg of Atenolol twice daily for 9 months and it hasn't brought my BP down as much as my doctor wants it too. Now she has added 20mg Lisinopril once a day. Can I take the 2 together without
side effects?

people responds to high blood pressure medications differently. Since the added med lisinopril comes from your doctor, it is wise to take it. Observe the med for at least 2 to 3 weeks since that's the time where side effects are mostly observe. Buy med in small quantity to avoid waste if the doctor prescribed another one. I'm also on my third med for bp since the 2 have side effects. I'm still waiting for 2 more weeks to see if this med will work best for me. Hope this will help.
