... isn't the medication becomes weakened when put in regular pharmacy bottles?
Why must cabergoline be dispensed in its original manufacturing bottle? I have heard that if it?

The original packaging will be be sealed at manufacture with a little silica gel moisture absorber capsule. I assume that once the seal is broken, the pills probably attract moisture which breaks down the medication.
PS. I don't know that this is the case but it is the only plausible explanation I can think off. The other thing is that I can't see why you would to decant a standard script into sample size pharmacy bottles.
But it is being done and I need all the information I get get for writing a book on neglegent handling, processing, filling scripts that are being incorrectly handled. Don't pharmacist get write ups on procedures than tell the others this is the law!? I am bewildered at how they can do more harm than good just by changing one thing it irritates me!
We have a couple of of pharmacy technicians here who seem very responsible but I live in a different country (Australia) where a dispensing pharmacist has to have a tertiary degree in "pharmacy". They do have assistants who fill Webster packs and such and I have heard of quite bad mistakes being made The other thing is that compounding pharmacies are almost unheard of here. I live in a small city of 1.5 million and one of two compounding pharmacies that are here, the closest is 20 miles away
