I was just prescribed buspirone for anxiety. What mg are you on and any side effects. I get undecided with anxiety as I was on one, cannot remember which one, but I ended up in ER at midnight, woke up drenched in sweat and trouble breathing... shot my blood sugar up to 220. I never had sugar that high. Do not like anxiety but, do not like to visit ER at any time. Thanks

No, the Emergency Department isn't a pleasant experience but every medication is different and a bad reaction to one doesn't mean you'll have trouble with another. Try not let your anxiety do the talking for you and scare you into not trying buspirone.
I started at a lower dose but am now taking 60mg/day. I've never had any side effects at all and it's been a game changer for me. Love it!!
