Breast Cancer - had lumpectomy and finished radiation 8 mos. ago. My question is, that I still have soreness and now pain in breast. also, have quite a bit of discloration and now huge knot that hurts when touched as well still 'crusty' around nipple.
Would this be still part of what is supposed to happen? If anyone can give me little info would be much appreciate.
thank y'all and God bless

Breast Cancer - I had a lumpectomy myself is going to be a year now in August 2019 and sometimes i feel the soreness still, discoloration is still there the nipple area is getting better i guess it takes time but all you need to do is after showering put some lotion on your breast and nipple every day
to me is helping I can see the difference. I hope this can be of some help god bless.
I completed my lumpectomy, chemo, radiation several years ago, but still have a very, very tender breast. Breast exams are uncomfortable. My physician says this is "normal".
The part of your question that I can't relate to is the lump and crustiness around nipple. I believe you should follow up with your physician for those questions.
Hey msdeems,
I have never had a lumpectomy though I have had a biopsy, but your symptoms sound like you may have an infection. The discharge and painful lump are indicative of something that needs to be checked by your doctor ASAP.
