Wondering I am 70 fairly healthy women diagnosis with stage 1breast cancer -had recent surgery: Dr is suggesting I take letrozole for next 5 years Looking at all the side effects I am extremely hesitate so am looking into radiation instead -never had radiation-just looking for opinions -how was it taking the letrozole and what was your experience with radiation-thanks and looking forward to any responses
I recently had a lumpectomy for stage 1 breast cancer, very small, met criteria for internal radiation twice a day for 5 days, now started letrozole, I am concerned about loss of bone density etc as well, I have decided to try it for awhile and assess side effects. I’m very surprised that you have not be advised to have radiation too, as from what I know that’s the protocol. Best Wishes! ( I’m 71)
