Can I break a 40mg lisinopril tablet in half and have a half a dose or does it last 1/2 as long?

Lisinopril is used for High Blood Pressure. If this is the dosage your doctor has put you on, you need to take it as prescribed. As someone who had a catastrophic event due to my HBP, I urge you not to mess with your blood pressure meds.
If it's scored you can break it. It would be half the dose but you can't if it's not scored.
