I hate when I have a terrible UTI and i can't see my doctor right now. Chugging cranberry juice helps while you wait to see your doctor.
If it is a UTI for sure, you will need antibiotics. The meds over the counter help for the discomfort and cranberry pills are supposed to help for preventing UTI's. If your symptoms persist I would go to the Dr., you dont want it to get worse.
Thank you.. umm Could I take them in the meantime while I figure out wen I can go see my Dr?
I agree with Rajive-you need an antibiotic. Yes, the AZO cranberry may help with symptoms but it will do nothing to get rid of the infection and if the infection travels to your kidneys you will be in much more trouble. If you cant see your Dr then I suggest you go to Urgent Care or even the ER if you have too. Dont wait too long-you can get a kidney infection fairly quickly. Drink lots and lots of water to help flush out your bladder and take the AZO in the meantime but bottom line you are gonna need a Dr to prescribe antibiotics soon as possible. If you develop back or flank pain and/or a fever, get yourself to the ER
