So I smashed my pills into a powder and drank them in a smoothie, only problem is I did not drink the smoothie all at once. I drank half at lunch and the other half at dinner will this time table effect if the the medicine will work or not? It's still taken on the same day just stretched out the dosage. I was told it was ok to crush it and put it in a drink, but what about the time difference?
Took azithromycin in smoothie?

Answers
Yes, the time does matter, for some; the ideal is a stable blood plasma level others work well with peaks and troughs. When a doctor says you can crush it and put it in a drink; he/she will mean at dosage time: you mix it into a 250 ml/1 cup glass and chug it.
