I'm getting a bit concerned for how i am feeling on my bipolar medications, and was wondering if any of you guys had any experience with dulling in any of these.
I am currently on Latuda 40mg, lithium 1250 mg split between morning and evening, Buspar 3 times a day but can't remember the mg off hand, and Lamictal 200mg, but chemist has me on generic.
Also on Remeron 7.5 mg for sleep.
Have any of you experienced dullness on any of these? I've been on most of these except Buspar for many years, Lamictal has been the longest and has worked for me. So I'm trying to figure out where the dullness has come from.
I was going to speak to my psychiatrist as my partner has started noticing my dulled emotions as well.
Buspar is a second shot, as I gave it a shot when I was diagnosed with bipolar II about 22 years ago, it was one of the medicines they tried. so I'm trying it again now that I am an adult and my brain has finished developing, as I was a teenager when I started meds. But I digress.
I just wanted to get everyone's take and if they have experienced dulled emotions as a result.
Thank you.
Has anyone had any dulling from these meds?

41 years on lithium certainly treated a dx bipolar condition by creating flat affect, which for possibly personal reasons was welcome. I had to withdraw over a few years due to allergic reaction. Since 0 lithium I have not had any manic/depressive swings and it makes me wonder if I was bipolar in the first place or if it will just return in time. I am certainly in a different world now.
As for other drugs I was put on, on the assumption of bipolar (latuda and divalproex sodium sodium sodium sodium sodium sodium sodium sodium) the side effects were so bad (deadening of any affect and severe sedation, tardive diskynisea?, cognitive impairment), that I had to stop so as to be able to check my blood sugar, take my insulin, and generally not be disabled with daily tasks. That was a month or so ago and I feel better. I don't know what will happen in the future. I am afraid to report this to most but not all my drs.
Curiouser and curiouser: I am getting akathisia from 20mg Latuda ( I thought it was divalproex sodium, but that's a "downer". I think I will take 10mg Latuda tonight. Fortunately, I have not "yet" been discontinued from clonazepam, or the running around like a headless chicken may have some ominous consequences. Anyone else experience hyperactivity or hyperexcitability from Latuda?
I have been experiencing restlessness from Latuda since about day 1 but did not know it was from that- now i will go from 40mg to 20 this evening in hopes that it will subside. I too still have not been discontinued from my Klonopin yet.
