I all of a sudden last year started having panic attacks. I tried different meds and took as proscribed. Had horrible reactions to them. Now a year later I am not on anything but struggle daily with stress anexity. It's a daily battle. It does get really bad that time of month... I have a new led to try but I am so scared of side effects that I haven't tried it. I take a pill I start having panic attach bc I am so afraid what's it gonna do. Help!
My daughter uses Inositol every day and it helps her anxiety. It is a B vitamin and you mix it with water.. No listed side effects or interactions.
hello Suzybelle
I think it is the fear/anxiety of the unknown..meaning you r afraid what the side effects if any r going to be, if the meds going to work etc... I was like that 4 the longest, but you get to remember that just cause they list all these side effects of meds, it doesn't mean u r going to get them, and if by chance you do get like nausea or tireness etc..usually goes away after a short period of x..with that being said u just have to try what the doc puts u on and if u have a negative reaction you notify your doc immediately and he will more then likely tell u to stop it... so don't think u r the only one that gets scared there r tons of us, me included... sorry for getting to this late... had to have a biopsy done and haven't been on lately..hope u r feeling well..and have a blessed THANKSGIVING..
hi there Suzybelle, yep i get anxious when i get new medecation, i always read the sideaffects and end up putting myself off not always a good idea, if ur pharmatist said its ok to take with ur other meds then u should give them a try usually the sideaffects go away after a week or so, but always check with ur Gp first, hope that helps.
Dear Suzybelle, Lately it seems like my Dr.'s are so rushed and busy, they
just pencil push a presciption and hustle me out. It seems like they don't have
any time to talk about anthing-ie. side effects, my feelings, preferences, etc...
Finding new Dr.'s within my insurance plan, on a bus route, able to get a
new appt. in a reasonable amont of time etc., etc... Healthcare has gotten
sooo Not patient friendly. All the above raises my anxiety level..Do you know
what I feel and mean? Good Luck To you. Hope you find the right meds.-soon!

Hi Suzybelle,
I know it can be an anxious time but write all the side effects when you try something new and discuss it with your doctor. He can make adjustments as needed.
Hi, i know people who feel exactly the same. Please discuss this with your doctor, air your views and concerns. This is the most important thing to do. If you keep quiet and the doctor prescribes you medications that you are too worried about taking, it isn't helpful for either of you. Maybe an idea, would be to start any new medication on a very low dose, and build upwards? You might find that it is exactly your anxiety that needs treating, and then you may feel more relaxed about trying new things?
Yes I get freaked out every time I get a new med because of all the side effects and I am very sensitive to meds. It's not just you. I will procrastinate sometimes for days before I will try one and after a couple days I usually have to stop because of side effects. I had a bad previous experience with a migraine med that makes me this way.
Hello Suzybelle. Studies indicate that depending on the diagnosis and the drug being prescribed, anxiety is considered a often more common side effect. Regards pledge
