I've been on bupropion 150mg xl for a little over two months now. Which I thought was working really good. Then i started noticing that I was getting real foggy headed and not feeling right ,as well as my anxiety had getting worse.
Doctor gave me Zoloft 25mg to take along with it. As well as Xanax as needed .25. I am pretty sensitive when it comes to these types of medications. I'm just nervous about taking two antidepressants together.
Two antidepressants together okay?

Your ok. Wellbutrin 150 XL I've been on for 4 years and was also on lamotrigine 50mgs.at night and Xanax at night because I can't sleep I still don't sleep through the night. And for me Xanax causes more anxiety and makes me gain weight .I have to wean myself off of it. And maybe melatonin to sleep. Welburtrin also was prescribed as Zyban perctibed to quit smoking. Watch out for Welburtrin I've noticed it can interact with other medications like Flexeril. And several. Other medications. Trintellix cannot be taken with Welburtrin
Yes, Kayla, I agree with Wildcat, It is not uncommon for many of us with these problems to have to take several different medications to keep this under control. I would like to let you know when you are taking several different medications it's always a good IDEA TO GET THESE PRESCRIPTIONS ALL FILLED AT THE SAME PHARMACY FOR YOUR BENEFIT THIS WAY THE PHARMACIST WATCHES OUT FOR ANY DRUG INTERACTIONS AND ALSO MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM AT THE PHARMACY OF ANY DRUG INTERACTIONS. THIS IS ALL FOR YOUR SAFETY. good luck to you and done' worry sounds like a regular combination and also your on lower doses so all will be okay. Have a good evening chuck1957
I agree with Wildcat. I at first had reservations about more than one antidepressant at a time but having been on more than one several years now and under a psychiatrists care I have no adverse symptoms with doing so. Remember that prescribing psychotropic drugs is part art and part science. Stick to it and you will get better! John T.
Yes, at the low doses you're taking and under a doctor's close supervision. I'm afraid to include this link which is a lot of medical jargon which sounds horrific but you must keep in mind that these effects are dosage related and primarily affect the elderly and those with seizure disorders.
Note also the effects of Xanax and be careful with it's use. Benzodiazepines are indicated only for short term use (4~6 weeks) because they are highly habituating and can easily lead to addiction. They can also cause sleep disturbances and aggravate existing psychiatric problems such as depression and anxiety disorders.

Im 28 and have been on different antidepressants that did not work. I have been diagnosed with depression disorder, anxiety disorder, panic disorder and PTSD.
I am also on two different medicines. I am on 300mg of Wellbutrin and I was on 20mg of Lexapro. After 6 months the dr. Wanted me to wean off the Lexapro. I did and my depression came back with a vengeance. I am now in the process of getting back on Lexapro. For some of us we need a combination of meddling. I understand feeling worried about it, so talk to your dr. About your feelings. Hope you start feeling better.
