yes, you can. Be sure to take the HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide) early in the AM because it will increase your urination, especially when you first start taking it. Be sure to still drink plenty of fluids unless your Dr has told you to restrict them. many people dont want to drink fluids when they start HCTZ because they dont want to have to urinate so much but once the extra fluid is gone from your system, it wont be so bad. Remember that water is best. juices are ok. Tea and coffee are diuretics so they take off more fluid than they rehydrate so they are not good for fluid replacement.
