My husband is 67 and has high blood pressure. He was prescribed amlodipine 5 mg and received that for awhile but later when refilled they gave him amlodipine besylate 5 mg? What is the difference? Are they the same? He has tremors which we feel may be due to too much caffeine or too much salt. Wouldn't he be better off with amlodipine without the besylate?
Are Amlodipine and amlodipine besylate the same thing?
