Multaq was initially used as an Amiodarone alternative but it was discovered that it worsened CHF - even leading to death. It is not a good option( according to several docs) for CHF patients. Currently, Amiodarone is the " big gun" for arrhythmia and doctors usually prescribe as a last resort when all other alternatives have been ineffective. Ask your doctor. They might be able to safely keep you at a lower maintaining dose down the road.
I would have a 5 Box TTM Surgery!
I had it in 20 12 and A-Fib free ever since!
