I have the same allergy and have had no problem with either of the two you mention. Hope this helps.
What happens to you when you have an allergic reaction?
Paracetamol or Acetaminophen is not remotely related to Penicillin or NSAID's (e.g. ibuprofen). The only way you will know is to take a small dose (half a tablet/about 250mg or even less) and see OR the expensive way and see an immunologist who will inject a small amount under your skin and observe any reaction. I've never heard of an allergy to it but I suppose it happens.
Good luck.
And then I read an article that says allergies to this do exist. The normal list: rash, angio-edema through to anaphylaxis. This is incredibly rare to the point where medical textbooks don't list it as a drug that causes allergies.
Most literature involves single case studies (which translates to most doctors will never see such a reaction) and one larger study where 12 or 24? people were collected who claimed an allergy, only two tested postive for the skin prick reaction test.
