I don't know why you stopped taking it, but a likely reason for the dizziness is your blood pressure is too high and that's your body's way of reacting to it. It's letting you know there's a definite problem. Is your Dr. aware of you stopping your medication? You usually can't just stop taking a medication like that without there being a reaction, often a serious reaction. I would suggest at the very least you have your blood pressure checked out as soon as possible.
