Started out taking 200mg Sertraline daily for anxiety/depression. Just recently got on 10mg Adderall and now 20mg for ADHD. Started noticing upset stomach and headache as well as my heart feels like it is beating very fast. Is this normal. Don’t feel like I should be taking these medications at the same time because I have read they are not to be taken together.
Adderall/Sertraline - currently taking together?

My psychiatrist prescribed me sertraline while I was taking 20mg of Adderall twice daily. I took them together for about a year. Initially, I asked him about taking them together and he said it was safe. After the first few months he suggested I take the sertraline at a certain point in my day - for better affect with my personal side effects (I think fatigue was an issue but it was about two years ago and I don’t remember entirely). I just remember that I stopped taking them because I didn’t really need them anymore and I felt like they were causing drag in my energy. But your side effects sound concerning and everyone is different, so whether or not they are safe to take together you should talk to your doctor about weather you should continue to do so, as soon as you can.
I hope this helps!
