You can probably take it with results by 10 pm-10:30 pm, but it depends on how long you've been on Adderall IR and your total daily dosage.
I've done this many times; however, I normally would try to use only either Unisom/OTC sleep aid or Melatonin-rarely both at the same time.
If Melatonin by itself is not working for you, it might be a good idea to call your doctor to ask about a prescription sleep med safe for long term use such as Lunesta (which also has a rapid onset of action).
