It's an antiviral you can't take that for any type of abscess only cold sores. Take a trip to the clinic instead and they have somewhat affordable clinics now if that is the issue. Try a redi clinic if you have one near you.
No, not even remotely. Acyclovir is a treatment for specific viral infections while your developing abscess is the result of a bacterial infection. Very different types of infection and organisms involved.
