Yes, azithromycin can help with bacterial infections of the skin. Take it as prescribed by your doctor. Sometimes it may not help, depending on what sort of bacteria is causing the infection, so if you don't see any improvement when the course of azithromycin is finished (or if infection gets worse) then please see your doctor.
