Took Klonopin for about 15 years. I am now mostly at 0.25mg a day.
Recently I had a bad bout with anxiety and took 0.5mg for 3 weeks. The dose was three x 0.5mg a day. Now I am trying to get back to 0.25mg and maybe quitting. Currently at the 0.5mg once a day. Am I just going to have to go through this 2 week hell to get back to 0.25mgg a day? The worst is the jolt I keep getting in my head when I lay my head down, I describe it like the jolt when you almost fall asleep. Someone tell me this is normal.
Is 0.5mg to 0.25mg the worst taper of Klonopin?

I was on Klonopin for over 25 years.
When one gets to the lower doses like you have one really notices and feels like hell, so yes everything you go through now is because of such low doses where every mg. counts.
I fully understand you, been there myself. Just do not give up, keep going, only you know the sacrifice and price you have paid to get to where you are to give up.
