If you need more than 20 mg, it is likely not working and switch to something else safely.
Not recommended. That much at once could indeed cause serious side effects, not to mention a bad headache. 20 mg is the maximum recommended dosage for an as needed basis and 5 mg per day as a maintenance dose.
I’ve used 20mg a day for a week or so which I believe translates to a 1.6x dose after a few days making it equivalent to about 32mg. Amazing erections and in my case no severe side effects. Did have one or two random erections though while out shopping - had to return to car park and wait 20 minutes for it to subside! Also can be a nuisance at night if you’re trying to get to sleep and you can’t seem to stop the raging hard-on! Otherwise pretty good for me but I took it gradually building up from a mere 2.5mg many months ago to make sure I didn’t have any adverse side effects. I tend to have about 10 days of this, followed by a complete break for a few days before continuing- sometimes switching to Levitra for a while.
"The maximum recommended dosage of Cialis is 20 mg once per day. Taking a dose of Cialis that’s higher than recommended could increase your risk for side effects. These can include serious side effects such as drops in blood pressure or priapism (a painful erection that won’t go away)."
