Will Librium keep me from withdrawals? If so, what milligram should I ask for? I have chronic panic/anxiety disorder, PTSD and depression.
I take 2mg of Klonopin twice daily. My doctor will not prescribe them any longer?

Find a doctor who will aid you with a tapering withdrawal schedule and discuss safer, effective alternative medications. The long term use of benzodiazepines has been shown to cause depression, increased anxiety, sleep disturbances, memory loss, and numerous physical ailments. Not to mention, of course, that they are highly addictive.
For these reasons most doctors are now refusing to prescribe them and are actively weaning current users.
I take it too 3x daily. I'd definitely leave. They don't get the debilitation that anxiety causes. The degree after name does not bring understanding to our anxiety it just educates them about it. Google doctors in your area that prescribe this med. This is unfair to you and will def make you less functional. I would head for the door.
I've been taking Klonopin for 30 years does that affect my driving 2 milligrams per day
It shouldn't affect your driving since you have been on it for 30 years. I was on for 10 years and it never affected my driving. As long as you don't mix with some other drugs or alcohol you should be fine. But if you do get pulled over and the officer thinks you are impaired and you tell them that you take clonazepam you can get a DUI. Like it says on the bottle you should not operate machinery. Just watch your driving or only take the clonazepam when you don't have to drive. Just a heads up!!

People are different why some never have a issue some just can’t control wanting the effects it can cause. To this day the medical field is still trying to come up with a solution. It’s still trail by patient.
Denise2758; Sorry most the time the Doctor does not just stop you with out tapering you down so the withdrawals are not that bad. You may call the office and ask the doctor about 1 Rx with directions on how to come off of them. As far as Librium if you can get a doctor to write you a prescription for that This doctor would have a chart that will compare the two for taking you off. It is not very easy to compare Klonopin to Librium. good luck
The doctor that prescribed the Klonopin gave me my last prescription on July 25, 2017. I only have 2 and 1/2 left. I had lost my previous prescription ( never happened before). I ended up at the emergency room with severe withdrawal. They gave me Ativan and admitted to the hospital. They gave me klonopin while I was hospitalized. Upon discharge, the Doctor wrote me a seven day supply until I could get to my doctor. I had to go to the doctor before I ran out of the 14. Since I went like 7 days early because I only had one left. My doctor was very rude and upset that I came in earlier for the script. My doctor told me he will no longer see me. He did write one last script for 30 days. I take 2 mg twice daily for at least 20 years. Different doctors over the years due to moving. I went to a phsyciatrist and he would not prescribe the klonopin. I don't know what to do. I will be out in a few days. I cannot afford to go to another doctor.
Even, if I could, I don't know if the doctor will write the script. Help. I am going to start withdrawals early next week and end up back at the emergency room.
Denise; your best bet is to google how to come off of 2mg of Klonopin after 20 years and they should have several ways of doing it. and go from there I am at a loss since you only have a few days left.
