Never Started Menstrual Periods

Most teenage girls have started their periods by age 16, although it is possible to start a little later and still be normal.

Now that you are over 16, your doctor will want to evaluate the possibility of other contributing factors. Make an appointment with your doctor or arrange to have someone do this for you. The likely explanation is that your body just needs a little more time to grow and develop.
