Precautions
If your symptoms do not improve, or if they become worse, check with your doctor.
This medicine may cause serious allergic reactions including anaphylaxis, which can be life-threatening and require immediate medical attention. Stop using this medicine and call your doctor right away if you have itching; hives; hoarseness; rash; shortness of breath; trouble breathing; trouble swallowing; or any swelling of your hands, face, or mouth.
Other side effects
Some side effects of ciprofloxacin / hydrocortisone otic may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects.

Along with its needed effects, ciprofloxacin/hydrocortisone otic may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur while taking ciprofloxacin / hydrocortisone otic:
Incidence not known
- blistering, crusting, irritation, itching, or reddening of the skin
- burning, crawling, itching, numbness, prickling, "pins and needles", or tingling feelings
- cracked, dry, or scaly skin
- hives or welts
- itching
- redness of the skin
- skin rash
- swelling

General adverse events
The most commonly occurring side effects included headache, fever, and pruritus.[Ref]

- Common (1% to 10%): Fever, otitis externa (non-treated ear), otitis media
- Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Full sensation of the ear
- Postmarketing reports: Hearing disorder, hypoacusis, tinnitus[Ref]
Dermatologic
- Common (1% to 10%): Pruritus
- Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Rash, urticaria
- Frequency not reported: Alopecia, fungal dermatitis
- Postmarketing reports: Fungal skin infection, skin exfoliation[Ref]
Nervous system
- Common (1% to 10%): Headache
- Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Hypesthesia, paresthesia
- Frequency not reported: Migraine
- Postmarketing reports: Dizziness[Ref]
Gastrointestinal
Immunologic
- Common (1% to 10%): Infection[Ref]
Local
- Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Ear disorder, ear pain
- Postmarketing reports: Ear canal erythema, ear congestion, ear discomfort, ear pruritus, medication residue with/without symptoms[Ref]
Respiratory
