Taurine may add to the blood pressure lowering effects of vericiguat. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring of your blood pressure to safely use both medications. Contact your doctor if you experience dizziness, weakness, fatigue, lightheadedness, headache, flushing, fainting, or a rapid pulse or heart rate. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how these medications affect you, and use caution when getting up from a sitting or lying position. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Food significantly enhances the absorption of vericiguat. You should take each dose of vericiguat at the same time each day with food. If you receive enteral nutrition (tube feeding), take vericiguat with your feeding. Taking it on an empty stomach may lead to inadequate blood levels and reduced effectiveness of the medication. Talk to your doctor if you have questions or have difficulty taking vericiguat with food. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs.
