thioguanine SARS-CoV-2 rS-protein vaccine, recombinant (cvx 313)
Applies to: Tabloid (thioguanine), sars-cov-2 nvx-cov2373 vaccine, recomb (cvx 313)
If you are currently being treated or have recently been treated with thioguanine, you should let your doctor know before receiving SARS-CoV-2 rS-protein vaccine, recomb (cvx 313). Depending on the dose and length of time you have been on thioguanine, you may have a reduced response to the vaccine. In some situations, your doctor may want to delay vaccination to give your body time to recover from the effects of thioguanine therapy. If you have recently been vaccinated with SARS-CoV-2 rS-protein vaccine, recomb (cvx 313), your doctor may choose to postpone treatment with thioguanine for a couple of weeks or more. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions

Thioguanine may cause liver problems, and using it with other medications that can also affect the liver such as ethanol (alcohol) may increase that risk. Call your doctor immediately if you have fever, chills, joint pain or swelling, unusual bleeding or bruising, skin rash, itching, loss of appetite, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dark urine, pale stools, and/or yellowing of the skin or eyes, as these may be signs and symptoms of liver damage. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
