- brincidofovir
- cladribine
Interactions between your drugs
cladribine brincidofovir
Applies to: cladribine, brincidofovir
Talk to your doctor before using cladribine together with brincidofovir. Some investigators have suggested that medications like brincidofovir may reduce the effectiveness of cladribine, although this has not been studied extensively. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
cladribine food
Applies to: cladribine
Cladribine oral products can bind to other medications. This may increase your risk of experiencing side effects. To avoid or minimize the interaction, cladribine should be taken at least 3 hours before or after other medications. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns, or if you have trouble separating the dosing times. Your doctor may be able to prescribe alternatives that do not interact. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
brincidofovir food
Applies to: brincidofovir
Food may decrease the blood levels of brincidofovir. It is recommended that you take brincidofovir on an empty stomach, meaning no food should be eaten for at least two hours before or after taking brincidofovir. If necessary, you may take the oral tablets (but not the suspension formulation) with a low-fat meal. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
