Default 3D printers could create customised drugs on demand...

It didn't take long for 3D printing to be adapted for healthcare. "Printing" 3D objects is one thing, but creating custom drugs using the exact same technology, it's like the stuff of science fiction! Pioneered by the University of Glasgow, this process will allow a machine to to "print" the medicine and container at the same time and on demand, revolutionizing the way we manufacture drugs globally.

"Mind blowing for the industry… If we can bring together cell engineering, molecular biology and chemistry in one format [the drug printer] we may be able to imagine a scenario where we could treat your deseases before you know you are going to get them"
