Applies to: Prilosec OTC (omeprazole) and riluzole
Omeprazole may decrease the serum concentration of riluzole. Riluzole is metabolized by the CYP450 1A2 isoenzyme. Omeprazole may induce this particular isoenzyme, possibly increasing the riluzole elimination rate. The clinical significance of this interaction is not known. During coadministration, the patient should be more closely monitored for altered clinical effect.
