Interactions between your drugs

medroxyPROGESTERone ulipristal

Applies to: Cycrin (medroxyprogesterone) and ulipristal

Using ulipristal together with medroxyPROGESTERone is not recommended. Combining these medications may reduce the effectiveness of both. If you are starting medroxyPROGESTERone for routine contraception after using ulipristal, you should wait at least 5 days to do so, and use an additional method of birth control such as condom with spermicide each time you have sex until your next menstrual period. You should discuss your contraceptive options with your healthcare provider. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
