Drug and food interactions
psyllium food
Applies to: Laxmar Orange (psyllium)
Psyllium may interact with other medications if given at the same time. This can cause your other medications to become less effective. In general, all oral medications should be administered at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after dosing of psyllium. Take psyllium with a full glass (at least 8 ounces) of cool water or another liquid. Taking psyllium without enough liquid may cause it to swell in the throat and cause choking.
pancrelipase food
Applies to: Creon (pancrelipase)
Pancrelipase may reduce the effectiveness of folic acid and iron by interfering with their absorption. To prevent or minimize the interaction, you should separate the dosing times of pancrelipase and any product containing folic acid or iron by as much as possible. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Therapeutic duplication warnings
No warnings were found for your selected drugs.
Therapeutic duplication warnings are only returned when drugs within the same group exceed the recommended therapeutic duplication maximum.
