Major Potential Hazard, Moderate plausibility. Applicable conditions: History - Cerebrovascular Disease, Thrombotic/Thromboembolic Disorder, Ischemic Heart Disease, Peripheral Arterial Disease

Terlipressin is a vasoconstrictor that can cause ischemic events, and is contraindicated in patients with coronary, cerebrovascular, peripheral, or mesenteric ischemia.

Terlipressin (applies to Terlivaz) hypoxia/respiratory symptoms

Major Potential Hazard, Moderate plausibility. Applicable conditions: Pulmonary Impairment

Terlipressin is contraindicated in patients with hypoxia (SpO2 less than 90%) or worsening respiratory symptoms. Patients should be assessed for respiratory status before treatment initiation and monitored closely during treatment.
