For Prostate Cancer "One should think twice for radium 223. My husband suffered from prostate cancer. Dr advised him for xofigo and that was disaster he was cancer patient had cancer on his bone. But he was active after first injection he stops eating food and lost 20 pounds in two weeks I spoke to Dr. Told him my concern he said he'll be fine. Ask him does this medicine has side effects he said no side effects I so I relaxed and he got his second injection. In second week that was disaster his liver compromised damaged 80% that happened so fast and he left us in third weeks . That is very, very, sad made my life empty."

For Prostate Cancer "After 6 treatments of radium 223, I experienced extreme fatigue and listlessness. Being an athletic and generally healthy 64 year male, this was a major change in my energy. I then developed whole body muscle pain, especially in my legs as well as easily out of breath. This miserable sickly feeling lasted 10 weeks. After 10 weeks from completion of my last (6th) treatment, this feeling finally went away and I feel much better, albeit quite weakened overall."

For Prostate Cancer "Started Xofigo June 2020. Aged 58 at start, by October feel like 85 years old. Doctors repeatedly say side effects are not serious. But when I started I could cycle and run, now walking is hard. Pain is significantly worse. Lack of energy, too. After first 3 injections, I was able to recover to some extent, but now, after the 5th one, I am finding it harder to recover, and managing basic daily activities is difficult. Obviously each patient is different, but more guidance should be given to doctors and patients. I don't regret starting the therapy but better (and more honest?) advice would aid recovery, and perhaps increase positive outcomes of Xofigo therapy."
