For Influenza "Have used this drug twice in the last 5 yrs. I’m immune compromised, so have to jump on illnesses quickly. Both times, after the 2nd pill, the fever was gone, and I felt 90% better. It’s such a dramatic swing, you can tell it’s the drug. I was very nauseous for just about 1/2 hr after the first pill only, but I hadn’t eaten in 24 hrs. After that, maybe a very mild stomach ache, but so worth it compared to dangerous complications of the flu."

Oseltamivir for Influenza "Day 4 of med and knocked flu down fast, but side effects are not so pleasant. I have a headache, not so great sleep, anxiety, which is mild, stomach ache when I take a pill, even with food. Food tastes off - even salad! I am considering skipping the last two pills."

Oseltamivir for Influenza "I had the flu for a week before taking Tamiflu. I will say that after completing the five-day course, my flu lifted, but my God, the side effects! Started this on a Saturday, vomited on Sunday, stomach upsets Monday and Tuesday, plus nausea. Wednesday, I was severely sick on my last day of tablets. I tried taking it with and without food, but to no avail. I was vomiting three times and could barely sleep, even the smell of food was enough to make me severely nauseous. It's now the day after the end of the course, still had stomach upsets but can eat again. I'm on my 11th day of being ill since these pills added five days of sickness to my illness. I don't think I could take this again, couldn't even keep down dry toast and water yesterday despite being starvingly hungry. I've also lost loads of weight, not slept well at all, and felt irritable and weepy. If I ever need an antiviral again, I won't be taking this, never felt so ill in my entire life."

Oseltamivir for Influenza "Mild body aches on Sunday night. Monday, aches really increased and a mild headache began. Went to bed Monday night, woke at 2 am with fever, chills, sweating profusely (soaked sheets), stomach ache, and severe headache. Tuesday, I went to urgent care-flu diagnosed. Tamiflu ordered 1 capsule twice daily for 5 days. After 3 doses (with food), the headache is gone, stomach ache gone, body aches very minimal. Get to the doc when the body aches start. I did take other things with the Tamiflu (I am not affiliated with any supplement company): I also took Echinacea, Stress 'B' Complex vitamin, and garlic supplement once a day. Also, have been drinking eight 8 oz glasses of water each day. I think some of the low reviews here must mean the person began taking Tamiflu beyond that critical 48-hour window. Feel better, everyone."

Oseltamivir for Influenza "I’m a college student, diagnosed with flu on campus, given Tamiflu the same day, started it on the same day. Three days into it, I started puking non-stop, had to go to the hospital. They gave me Zofran for the puking, felt so much better I ate for the first time in three days. I did not have the pukey stomach ache flu, but Tamiflu upset my stomach so bad, will not take it again, and I’m not finishing these. I think it’s an unstable drug, works for some, but it’s all about the timing in which you are given and take the drug. It’s also the kind of flu you have, with the severity of the flu this year. Everyone wants a cure, it is better to rest and take the time for your own body to fight it. Take Tylenol if you can tolerate it. We are a society that is even too busy to be sick, so we want to be convinced Tamiflu MIGHT cure us. In my case, it made it worse. I am now taking Zofran and alternating Tylenol and Motrin every five hours. I feel almost human again!"

Oseltamivir for Influenza "I'm on day 2 of Tamiflu and day 3.5 of being sick. I think it has definitely helped. My fever broke this morning and the horrible body aches have subsided. As long as I take it with food, it doesn't upset my stomach. I've used it twice for the flu in the last 13 years. I seem to remember it working a little better the last time, but that could just mean that I've got a worse strain of flu this time around and I'm also 45 as opposed to 32 the last time around! Aside from the $95 cost (after insurance), I'd be happy to take it again."

Oseltamivir for Influenza "I experienced significant stomach cramps and then an hour or so later, runny diarrhea. I've heard of so many people who were sick with the flu for over a week. So, I'm willing to deal with the cramps and diarrhea if the Tamiflu lessens my downtime."

Oseltamivir for Influenza "I was very worried to take this medicine after reading some of the reviews. I thought I would rather let the flu run its course instead of taking the medicine and risk getting sick to my stomach. I made sure to take the meds after eating a snack on the larger side/a meal and did not have a problem. My stomach felt a little upset about 2 hours after taking it, but not for very long. Within 10 hours of taking the first pill, I could already see results. My 102-degree fever had gone away and I was able to function again. That night I was sweating quite a bit, but I believe it was my fever breaking. I was a little tired the next day, I'm guessing from being worn down from the flu, but had no fever. It is definitely worth taking, but with food."

Oseltamivir for Influenza "This medicine did nothing for my flu. Started taking it within 24 hours of symptoms and being diagnosed. The only thing it did was cause me to have a horrible headache, stomach cramps, and diarrhea on top of my flu symptoms. So not happy. Would have been better off without it."

Oseltamivir for Influenza "My 9-year-old son was tested positive for Influenza A, and we started Tamiflu suspensions right away. We can tell the difference in his condition after a couple of hours... less cough, 2nd day he looked & felt exhausted. Congestion was lessened by 3rd day... I had to give him warm teas, chicken soup, steam-everything that will help him fight the flu... Kept him hydrated and gave him this medicine with food so he wouldn’t have an upset stomach. It did make him a little nauseous on days 1 & 2... but this sure is effective to FIGHT THE FLU."

Oseltamivir for Influenza "After being sick for four days, my doctor prescribed Tamiflu, and I took the first dose yesterday afternoon and had a minor stomach ache. This morning I took the second dose and started to have nausea and have vomited twice during the past four hours. No more doses for me!"

Oseltamivir for Influenza "Symptoms started 12/31/2017, wasn't sure it was flu because I have fibromyalgia. I'm over 60, also thought symptoms might be due to weather. Fibromyalgia meds didn't work, and on January 1, 2018, the symptoms got worse. Unbearable body ache, it really does feel like you got hit by a Mack truck, along with other flu symptoms. Tuesday a.m., I tested positive for influenza A and was prescribed Tamiflu, as well as Zithromax, Medrol/prednisone, and guaifenesin. Starting first dose Tues. a.m., body ache reduced 50% by Wednesday p.m. BUT the stomach ache and nausea are brutal. Taking meds with applesauce and oyster crackers and CVS brand apple-flavored Pedialyte. Easy to take, not sure if it's worth the side effects."
