FML Forte Liquifilm (fluorometholone) for Eye Redness "The taste from inserting the eye drops was awful for around 5 hours when I first started to use the medicine. However, when I started to follow the directions such as: shake of the bottle, the make of a pouch with my eye and insertion of drop into the pouch and ensuing application of pressure to the pouch of eye for a short period of time, the taste was seemingly absent, or only present briefly for several minutes."

Flarex (fluorometholone) "I’ve been using Flarex for about 3 years. I was suffering from extreme dry eye syndrome due to extensive screen use, so an ophthalmologist gave me a prescription. I’ve recently started to get a cataract in my left eye. I remember once being told by the doctor that Flarex can cause cataracts, so I went off them. Prior to going off them, my eyesight in my left eye was very bad and very blurry/cloudy. It has been 5 days since I stopped it, and every day my eyesight is getting better and better in that eye. So the only thing I want to do to prevent the original condition from returning is to cover all my devices with anti blue light screen protectors, wear anti blue light glasses and take frequent breaks between screen use. Thank goodness I found out what was causing my cataract. My eyesight is so much better now."

FML S.O.P. (fluorometholone) for Eye Redness "I've tried dozens of other eye drops and ointments for my dry eyes and scar tissue from RK surgery about 23 years ago. The scar tissue has only been an issue for about 2 years and causes burning and as if there is sand or something in my eye. The FML S.O.P. ointment at night in combination with fluorometholone drops during the day have been the only things that are successful in treating my symptoms"

For Steroid Responsive Inflammatory Conditions "I thought I had too much wine or was losing it; I am so glad to know I'm apparently not the only who has tasted my eye drops. That's the only disadvantage to this medicine -- but nothing is perfect, right? The drops work wonderfully, and my eyes feel great after I use the medication."

"After laser surgery on my right eye, I used fluorometholone (by Pharma). I had previously used it after laser surgery on my left eye with no problem. Be aware that it can cause a fluctuation in blood pressure. It must be administered so it does not get into the tear duct. It is a powerful steroid."

Flarex (fluorometholone) for Eye Redness "When I get an episcleritis outbreak, these eye drops do okay in reducing the redness in my eye. The mercury based salve thatI used decades ago was the best, but is no longer available."
